BIO

Viktoria’s photographic work studies the effects of modern development on rural and urban landscapes, particularly how societies affect their surroundings with the things they discard and abandon. Having lived, studied, and traveled throughout the North American continent, Europe, Southeast Asia, India, and the Mediterranean, Viktoria finds her hometown of Buffalo, NY the perfect place to grow and live.

Through her third world travels, Viktoria has been heavily influenced by issues of development and westernization, and her return to America has ignited various documentary projects involving housing issues, suburban sprawl, big box development, and the death of small towns across America.  “It is my intention to make people stop and think about the actions they take, and the effects they have on their surrounding environments.”
