DENDRO

Whether discussing mythology, folklore, religion, or fiction, trees stand as powerful symbols, representing immortality, fertility, and various sacred meanings throughout the ages. Relating to the phrase, “if these walls could talk,” the lifespan of trees surpass centuries, entire eras of human development, growth, and progress. They are merely a perennial woody plant, yet their impact on the natural landscape, atmosphere, and their surrounding urban and suburban environments is beyond great. Trees provide oxygen, shelter, wood, shade, and wisdom. They are our playmates as children, our guides as travelers, our protection as survivors, and our resource as creators. For something so complex and strong, they are so delicate and dependent, yet like humans, trees can endure considerable damage and still survive. However, also like humans, sometimes the slightest amount of stress can lead to their death. We share our world with these giants, and our fates are intertwined.
